Database Developer

Ridemakerz, a partner company of Build-A-Bear Workshop, is looking for a Database Developer. The Database Developer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining development standards for database code and design. On a daily basis, the Developer will oversee data flow from an online Virtual World, working with the Interactive Flash Development Team, and produce/maintain SQL-based reporting on that data. The Developbear will work with the Interactive Producer to create and maintain a schedule for code and database development projects, review and approve Developer milestone submissions with Senior Web Developer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain database objects using Structured Query Language (SQL) for distributed reporting that supports data analysis and a front-end GUI dashboard
  • Develop and maintain database infrastructure and performance where mass daily updates (warehousing) of information will occur, facilitating those updates
  • Document all code, processes, and cross-train when needed

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • 2+ years of Database Development experience using SQL (ANSI-SQL at a minimum)
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to write concise project plans and viable development schedules

Interactive Operations Manager

Ridemakerz, a partner company of Build-A-Bear Workshop, is looking for an Interactive Operations Manager. The Interactive Operations Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with customer service partners to monitor chat logs, and works with Interactive Producer and content development partners to continually improve and refine messaging and guest policies.

This position will handle guest issues escalated from customer service partners as well as interact directly with guests online to observe behavioral patterns, understand issues and watch trends, and reports to interactive team on these interactions.

This position will also work with the Interactive Producer to plan and implement beta testing programs, identify and schedule guests for beta testing opportunities, and administer beta testing feedback and message boards (possibly with assistance from customer service partners).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring membership, guest traffic, online transactions, event statistics and other metrics, and preparing reports for interactive team
  • Tracking guest incentive programs (both in-store and virtual) and prepares reports for interactive team.
Qualified candidates will have:
  • A bachelors degree in related field
  • 3+ years of project management, customer service and/or Web usability experience
  • Customer service and/or online testing group experience
  • Experience managing customer service and/or help desk associates
  • Experience managing IT support and e-mail communication
  • Knowledge of CMS, project management, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio a plus

Manager, Direct Marketing Bear

Location: St. Louis, MO

The Manager, Direct Marketing Bear is responsible for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy of the Company. This involves strategic and creative development of all national Guest communications, as well as for the implementation of these initiatives to motivate Guests to visit our stores and increase sales. The Manager, Direct Marketing Bear is responsible for identifying and leveraging data of our Guest’s purchase behaviors to maximize and continually improve upon the return on investment of each consecutive initiative.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the CRM strategy and spearhead the company’s learning for the Stuff Fur Stuff loyalty program
  • Develop a plan for all direct marketing communications for North America, United Kingdom and France, utilizing a multitude of mediums to communicate to our Guests, including, but not limited to Direct Mail, Email, and Voice Messaging
  • Build and implement test strategies and analyze the results of direct mail marketing
  • Identify and create ways to utilize data to streamline various marketing efforts and company processes
  • Contribute to overall strategic planning for BABW as it relates to direct marketing
  • Develop vendor partners that support direct marketing initiatives to enhance BABW’s ability to meet direct marketing goals
Qualified Candidates Must have:
  • At least 5 years experience in the development of direct marketing strategy, creative and implementation processes
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of CRM/LOYALTY program experience
  • Experience in effectively communicating with information technology resources to achieve mutual goals
  • At least 3 years experience in the identification, analysis and selection process for outside resource relationships

This position is primarily responsible for developing the annual budget, interim forecasts and long range plans for the company including all subsidiaries and Ridemakerz, coordinating overhead department budgets and forecasts, and working on special projects.
