Project Ideas: Cubs

Lemonade Stand

Set-up a lemonade stand at a T-ball or soccer game to raise money for kids with cancer.

What you might need:

  • Location for your lemonade stand (your front yard, by the local pool, at the local t-ball or soccer field).
  • A table and chairs
  • A cooler or pitcher for holding the lemonade
  • A sign to tell people how much it will cost and who the fundraiser is for (the Build-A-Bear Workshop Foundation or a child with cancer in your community)
  • Paper/plastic cups
  • Lemonade (lemonade mix, water and ice)
  • Flyers
  • Something to hold money

Change with Change

Talk to your teacher or principal about setting up a bucket or tub in the hallway at your school. Every day your classmates and teachers can put some change in the tub. At the end of the month or year count your money. OR, have each class place a tub in their homeroom and have a contest to see who can raise the most money.

What you might need:

  • A container for the change. Bring something fun to put the change in.
  • A wheelbarrow
  • A kiddie swimming pool
  • A bucket
  • A trash can
