An update for our valued Guests concerning reopening our Workshops from our CEO:

As you may know, in mid-March we chose to temporarily close our stores in light of the impact of COVID-19. Since then, we have been diligently working on modifying our in-store experience with the anticipation of welcoming you back to the Workshop! As governmental restrictions begin to ease, we are all noticing that the world is a little different. Likewise, the next time we welcome you to a Build-A-Bear Workshop, there be a few modifications that you might notice including:
     ● Limited occupancy based on the store size to enable social distancing guidelines
     ● Protective (teddy bear themed!) face coverings for our store associates*
     ● Floor markings, directional signage and new processes in interactive areas such as the Stuffing Station to limit personal contact
     ● Heightened sanitation processes throughout the store; and
     ● Store training focused on the consistent delivery of the new requirements and safety practices.

We are thankful for everyone who has supported us on buildabear.com during this time in which our stores have been closed, and we look forward to continuing to serve you online as well as back at "The Workshop."

Since we began responding and adapting to COVID-19, we have looked to our mission of “adding a little more heart to life” to guide our decision-making. This includes the temporary store closures and introducing Workshop Wednesdays to support families by providing free entertainment, music and creative ideas during the extra time at home. In addition, our charitable arm, Build-A-Bear Foundation, will be donating over 100,000 face masks to groups that support essential frontline workers and has made financial donations to organizations such as the American Red Cross, Baby 2 Baby, Make-A-Wish and local relief organizations.

As we reopen our stores in this changing environment, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to provide a fun and memorable experience to everybody that comes to a Workshop. More than ever, we are dedicated to “adding a little more heart to life,” and will work hard to deliver our signature experience to make-your-own furry friend for life in a personalized way - balanced with careful consideration of our new social distancing standards and enhanced sanitation procedures

We understand if you are not ready to shop in person and look forward to continuing to provide an engaging online shopping experience with an expanded offering of products, including great gift ideas for anyone that you think might need a hug from a furry friend.
